Morning report: Ownership in town

February, 25, 2012
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Everyone is in town now, including all of the players and ownership, for the first full-squad workout day here at the Boston Red Sox player development complex at Fenway South.

John Henry, Tom Werner and Larry Lucchino, along with manager Bobby Valentine will address the entire team this morning.

Valentine, who has focused solely on pitchers and catchers for the last week, can now turn the page a bit and learn more about his position players.

The Red Sox are hosting an open house at JetBlue Park today and there’s expected to be a few thousands people attending the event. There’s been nonstop work on the main field and it looks great and ready for Grapefruit League action, which begins on March 3 when the Sox host Boston College and Northeastern in the annual collegiate doubleheader.

The clubhouse is open from 8-9 this morning and ownership is expected to meet with the media immediately after, so check back later for more updates from Red Sox spring training.
