Papelbon's bulldog in clubhouse; today's lineup

March, 28, 2010
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Closer Jonathan Papelbon walked through the Red Sox clubhouse this morning with his french bulldog, which had a few heads turning.

“That is terrible,” second baseman Dustin Pedroia cracked.

Papelbon said he’s had the three-legged dog, which was barking in the back of the clubhouse, for four years.

Elsewhere, outfielder Jeremy Hermida, who came out of Saturday’s game against the Orioles in the third inning with a tight right hamstring, is not in the lineup today against the Twins.

“It’s a little bit sore today," said Hermida, who felt a grab on the hamstring while running the bases on Josh Reddick's two-out lineout. "It's not one of those ones where it looks like you got hit by a sniper. It's just something uncomfortable. It's probably a good thing I stopped when I did."

Today’s lineup:
1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Victor Martinez, C
4. Kevin Youkilis, 1B
5. David Ortiz, DH
6. Adrian Beltre, 3B
7. Mike Cameron, CF
8. Bill Hall, RF
9. Marco Scutaro, SS
SP – Clay Buchholz, RHP
