Sox-Jays under way again

August, 22, 2010
The Red Sox-Blue Jays game has indeed begun after a 1-hour, 44-minute delay.

It features an excellent pitching matchup, Clay Buchholz meeting Toronto's Shaun Marcum.

UPDATE AT 4:10 p.m.: The game went back into a rain delay with two outs in the top of the third, no score and a 1-and-1 count on Toronto's Adam Lind. Buchholz has been erratic, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out five. Marcum has retired all six Boston batters he's faced.

UPDATE AT 5:04 p.m.: The Sox and Jays just started up again, with both starters still in the game despite a delay of about an hour. Terry Francona obviously doesn't want to burn Buchholz's start.
