Bills land undrafted free agent UB QB Jackson

University at Buffalo's Tyree Jackson was not among the 11 quarterbacks selected in the draft, but he'll get a shot with the Bills after signing as a free agent, pending a physical.

University of Buffalo quarterback Tyree Jackson, who measured in officially at the scouting combine at 6-7 and weighed 249 pounds, ran an unofficial 4.59 in his first attempt Saturday in the 40-yard dash. According to ESPN Stats and Information it is the fastest 40-time by a player listed 6-7-or-taller since 2006 -- the next best was a 4.60 by defensive end Margus Hunt in 2013. Jackson ran an unofficial 4.68 Saturday on his second attempt.

Buffalo signs coach Leipold to new 5-year deal

Buffalo coach Lance Leipold, who was named Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year in 2018 after leading Buffalo to a 10-4 record, has agreed to a new five-year deal through the '23 season.

Buffalo coach Lance Leipold agrees to a new contract through the 2023 season. Leipold led UB to team records in wins (10) and MAC wins (7) last season, as the Bulls reached the league title game. Buffalo has won at least six games in consecutive seasons for the first time in more than 30 years.

Buffalo QB Jackson declares for NFL draft

University at Buffalo quarterback Tyree Jackson is forgoing his senior season by declaring himself eligible for the NFL draft.
