Patriots bolster receiving corps with ASU's Harry

The Patriots drafted a wide receiver in the first round for the first time since 1996 on Thursday, when they took Arizona State wide receiver N'Keal Harry with the 32nd overall pick.

NFL draft profile: N'Keal Harry (0:58)

Josh Weinfuss ESPN Staff Writer

N'Keal Harry may have catapulted himself into the middle of the first round with an official 40 time of 4.53 seconds. His camp is extremely happy with his time. Harry, who came to the combine as a borderline first-round pick, needed a good time, and he got it.

After Ole Miss wide receiver D.K. Metcalf put up 27 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press at the NFL combine earlier today, Arizona State's N'Keal Harry matched him. The 27 reps are tied for the most by a receiver at the combine since 2006. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has Metcalf ranked as his No. 2 WR in the 2019 draft, while Harry ranks No. 7.
