After missing their first chance to claim the Call of Duty World League Pro League title on Sunday, eUnited recovered to sweep Gen.G in the second series and win the $1.25 million CWL Pro League playoffs in Miami Beach, Fla.
The top team in the regular season (18-4) and the winner of the upper bracket, eUnited had two chances to win a best-of-five series against lower-bracket champion Gen.G, who eUnited dusted 3-1 in Saturday's upper semifinals.
But Gen.G erased eUnited's advantage almost immediately, sweeping the first series with victories of 250-123 on Arsenal Hardpoint, 6-3 on Payload Search and Destroy and 3-2 on Arsenal Control to quickly reset the bracket.
After a quick break, the sides began the second series, which took a decidedly different tone. eUnited claimed Seaside Hardpoint 250-119 and Hacienda Search and Destroy 6-4 for a quick 2-0 edge. They cruised on the final map as well, taking Frequency Control 3-0 to clinch victory and the $500,000 first prize, along with 50,000 Pro Points. SMG Player Chris "Simp" Lehr of eUnited was named tournament MVP.

Gen.G earned $300,000 and 40,000 Pro Points for their efforts.
Both teams will be top seeds at the $2 million 2019 CWL Championship, with eUnited in Pool A and Gen.G in Pool B. That tournament will take place Aug. 14-18 in Los Angeles.
To reach the CWL Pro League playoff final, eUnited downed FaZe Clan 3-1 in the winners final, taking the upper hand by squeaking out a 250-247 win on Gridlock Hardpoint and a 6-5 victory on Arsenal Search and Destroy. FaZe bounced back with a 3-2 win on Seaside Control, but eUnited dominated Arsenal Hardpoint 250-59 to close it out.
Gen.G's road to the final was tougher. They began Sunday with a 3-1 victory over Team Reciprocity, taking Seaside Hardpoint 250-201 and Gridlock Search and Destroy 6-3. After Reciprocity won Frequency Control 3-1, Gen.G finished it with a 250-157 victory on Hacienda Hardpoint.
In the losers final, Gen.G made quick work of FaZe, taking Arsenal Hardpoint 250-115, Hacienda Search and Destroy 6-5 and Frequency Control 3-2 for the sweep.
