Rising U.S. tennis pro Taylor Fritz has joined an eclectic group investing in ReKTGlobal, the esports power that is the parent company of Rogue, as well as the London Royal Ravens of the Call of Duty League.

Fritz, 22, climbed as high as No. 25 in the ATP singles rankings this year. He reached the third round of the Australian Open in 2019 and the third round of the U.S. Open in 2018.

Fritz joins a ReKTGlobal investment group that includes Washington Redskins safety Landon Collins and Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert. Other investors include the music group Imagine Dragons, Latin music producer Tainy and electronic dance music standouts Steve Aoki and DJ Nicky Romero.

"As the first tennis pro and youngest investor to date, I'm really excited to join the ReKTGlobal team," Fritz said in a statement. "It's a dream come true to invest in this fast-growing esports organization and follow my passion for competitive gaming. As the esports industry continues to blow up and go mainstream, I'm looking forward to collaborating with the team and making magic happen"

Known for his booming serve, Fritz won his first career ATP title at the 2019 Eastbourne International. The San Diego-area native also represented the United States in Davis Cup competition this year.

"Taylor Fritz is a rising star, both in tennis and esports," ReKTGlobal founder and chairman Amish Shah said in a release. "In addition to his role as our latest investor, Taylor is an avid gamer who takes his PlayStation on the road so that when he has downtime or is in need of a release, he can jump on the sticks and play Fortnite and Call of Duty. He truly knows his stuff when it comes to the esports industry, teams, and players so we're very excited to welcome him to the ReKTGlobal family."
