Fantasy blocking matchup rankings: Gordon, Howard set up to succeed

Ito Smith in the conversation as a flex play (1:36)

Field Yates and Mike Clay discuss why Ito Smith's numbers for the Falcons are a bit deceiving. (1:36)

The fantasy football world has lagged behind when it comes to effectively measuring the impact blocking has on fantasy production, so last year I devised a grading system that uses multiple advanced metrics to project how blocking matchups will impact fantasy football performance in the upcoming week's contests. (The details of the system can be found here.)

The entire list of the Week 10 overall matchup grades are posted below, along with a detailed look at how those blocking grades could impact certain start-sit decisions this week. Subjects here include recommendations on the inconsistent Dolphins and Eagles running backs, if Jordan Howard can keep racking up solid point totals, and projections on the Chargers and Falcons fantasy candidates.

(Note: The metrics and rankings listed below are for Weeks 5-9).
