NASCAR will increase the length of the rear spoiler for the Daytona race in July from 53 inches to 58 inches while keeping the restrictor plate the same as it was in February. The plate will have holes 56/64ths of an inch in diameter. At Talladega, a track similar to Daytona, NASCAR reduced the holes to 55/64ths of an inch (cutting 12-15 horsepower) after Jamie McMurray flipped wildly in practice.
