The top 10 finishers earned points under the new scoring system. #9-Elliott win earns him 10 points, 10th place #47-Allmendinger gets 1 point.
There was 1 caution for 3 laps. On lap 12 #9-Elliott took the air of #20-Jones, causing him to spin. Behind Jones, #42-Larson and #32-DiBenedetto spun Both of them will go to a backup.

The first caution was for #48-Johnson, who cut a tire and spun out. He hit #10-Almirola. Both drivers will go to a backup car for the 500.
The second caution was for a spin by #24-Byron after #17-Stenhouse, Jr took the air off the rear of his car. Byron goes to a backup.
#92-Gilliland brought out the third caution with an accident when Stenhouse also took the air off his spoiler. Gilliland will go to a backup as well.
The 4th and final caution involved #2-Keselowski and #1-McMurray with 3 laps left. Keselowski pulled down on track, then tried to move back up, but McMurray had already pulled up. Keselowski will need a backup car too.
The finishers of the 1st Can-Am Duel 150 will line up on the inside (odd number) line of the Daytona 500. #12-Baney will start 3rd, #22-Logano fifth.
#88-Alex Bowman won the pole for the Daytona 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway with speed of 195.644mph for his 1st pole at Daytona and 2nd of his career. #11-Hamlin will start the Daytona 500 2nd.
Qualifying for the Daytona 500 only sets the front row for the race. Speeds will be used to set the lineup for Thursday's Can-Am Duel races.

Gilliland, who drove a Kyle Busch Motorsports truck Friday night, will drive for Ricky Benton Racing in the Daytona 500: "It will probably be my last one. … We're focusing on our [racing] business and growing it. You drive something like this [truck], it spoils you. Opportunities for a 41-year-old guy to drive that [good] stuff are few and far between."
Bankruptcy aside, BK Racing vows full season
BK Racing, which will field a car for Gray Gaulding in Sunday's Daytona 500 despite filing for bankruptcy on Thursday, will run the entire 2018 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, owner Ron Devine said Friday.
