Orioles beat Royals 5-3 to end 7-game skid

Mark Trumbo delivered a tiebreaking two-run single in the eighth inning, Chris Davis homered and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Kansas City Royals 5-3 Wednesday night to end a seven-game losing streak.

Royals blitz Bundy, Orioles with 10-run 1st in 15-7 win

Dylan Bundy set a dubious modern-day record, yielding four homers and leaving without getting an out, part of a 10-run first inning that propelled the Kansas City Royals past the hapless Baltimore Orioles 15-7 Tuesday night.

David Schoenfield ESPN Senior Writer

The Orioles just gave up 10 runs in the top of the first to the Royals as Dylan Bundy allowed seven runs and four home runs without retiring a batter. The Orioles are terrible and in theory every day they keep Manny Machado at this point decreases his trade value. Time for Dan Duquette or Brady Anderson or whoever is in charge to start making some phone calls.

Bradford Doolittle ESPN Staff Writer

How dreary can things possibly get for the Orioles? The Royals scored 10 runs in the first tonight against Baltimore. O's No. 1 starter Dylan Bundy faced seven batters, retired none, gave up five hits, two walks, four homers and seven runs. A quick Play Index search at Baseball Reference yields the following pitchers who have matched Bundy's numbers in an outing: null.
