It's time for the NBA's ultimate celebration … the All-Star Game. To say this is a four-day event doesn't do justice to all the activities that go on during this amazing weekend. It's phenomenal when you think of the growth of this entire extravaganza. What a grand gesture the NBA has set up for its past, present and future stars.

The NBA honors its past stars with wonderful events like the Legends brunch, which is one of my favorite parts of the weekend and one of the signature events of the weekend. It's a great event where former NBA stars can congregate and talk over a good meal. It's a great way to catch up with former teammates and opponents who you might not see often because of everyone's busy schedule.

The NBA goes on to honor its future stars with the Rookie Challenge, which is a great way for the stars of the future to take a look at the spectacle that is the All-Star Game. What better way to show the spoils of greatness than by having your future great players around to see what could happen when they dedicate themselves to this wonderful game? NBA Insider and Basketball Hall of Famer Bill Walton will again serve as a game analyst for ESPN's NBA telecasts. He joined ESPN and ABC Sports' in their inaugural season of NBA coverage in 2002.
