Highly touted prospect Luka Doncic led Real Madrid to its 10th Euroleague crown over Turkish power Fenerbahce on Sunday. When asked after the win about his NBA future, the 19-year-old Slovenian said "soon I will tell."
Phoenix Suns general manager Ryan McDonough says he hasn't ruled out the option of dealing away the No. 1 pick in June's draft for a lower pick -- or even a worthy veteran player.
Top NBA draft prospect Luka Doncic played a team-high 30 minutes and finished with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in Real Madrid's 92-83 win in the Euroleague Final Four.
Phoenix has made no secret that it's ready for a return on its lengthy rebuild. So how close are the Suns after landing the No. 1 pick?

Josh Jackson beamed as he stood on the Lottery stage after the show was finished. After watching Devin Booker represent the Suns at the event before, Jackson was happy to get the last laugh on his teammate this time. "Hopefully he's really happy," Jackson said of Booker. "I came out and did what he couldn't do, which doesn't happen too often. So I feel pretty good."

Wild night here in Chicago with Sacramento jumping to #2 and Phoenix landing the 1st overall pick. Who Sacramento takes 2nd overall could play a big role in shaping the rest of the top-5. If Phoenix does opt for Ayton at #1, I think Doncic could fit with speedy point guard De'Aaron Fox. He's at his best as a playmaker but can also play off the ball and needs an explosive shot creator next to him. Will be interesting to see how this next month plays out.
When the pingpong balls came to a rest after Tuesday night's NBA draft lottery, it was the end of an era for the league.

Josh Jackson says he wants the Suns to select DeAndre Ayton with the first pick.
After winning just 21 games this season, the Suns got their biggest win of the year Tuesday, grabbing the No. 1 overall pick in June's NBA draft.

The Phoenix Suns were big winners of Tuesday's NBA Draft Lottery, landing the No. 1 overall pick. The Suns will have their choice of center Deandre Ayton, who played at the nearby University of Arizona, and Slovenian star Luka Doncic -- who played for new Phoenix coach Igor Kokoskov while winning last summer's EuroBasket. The Sacramento Kings landed the second pick with the Atlanta Hawks picking third. The Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks, who entered the lottery with the second- and third-best odds, respectively, dropped to fourth and fifth.

Igor Kokoskov, speaking at his introductory news conference with the Suns, said he did not consider himself to be a "European" coach. "I'm an NBA coach" said Kokoskov, 46, who just finished his 18th season as an assistant coach in the league.
At least nine NBA teams will have a different coach than the one that started the 2017-18 season. Keep up with every change on the sidelines here.
Jazz assistant Igor Kokoskov says he is "thrilled" to be taking over as the Phoenix Suns' new head coach after Utah's season concludes and "proud" to be the first NBA head coach born and raised outside North America.
Royce Young ESPN Staff Writer
In a statement, news Suns coach Igor Kokoskov says he will remain with the Jazz for the rest of the postseason: "I am thrilled to be the next coach of the Phoenix Suns and greatly appreciate the opportunity that Robert Sarver and Ryan McDonough have given me. I am certainly proud to be the first head coach in the NBA raised outside North America and just as excited to return to the Suns organization and Phoenix, my family's second home for the past 10 years. It's a place where I was a part of tremendously talented and successful teams and I look forward to working towards a Championship. My time here in Utah has been invaluable and we are in the middle of an important playoff run with a very special group of players and coaches who deserve my full attention. At the end of the season, I look forward to turning focus to my next challenge, building a strong program in Phoenix and creating the success the fans deserve."
Will Devin Booker get a new max deal? Should the Suns make a trade at the draft? We look ahead to the decisions Phoenix faces this offseason.
Jazz assistant Igor Kokoskov has been named the new head coach of the Suns, making him the first head coach born and raised outside of North America in NBA history, the Suns said.
