Team preview: William & Mary

Tony Shaver begins Year Two of trying to turn things around at William & Mary.
Shaver's first team in Williamsburg went 7-21, and two of the team's top three scorers from that team are gone: first-team All-CAA forward Adam Hess (20.3 ppg) and forward Zeb Cope (12 ppg). Replacing those two will be challenging.
But Shaver knows a thing or two about building after a highly successful, 17-year run as the head coach at Hampden-Sydney College, where he compiled a 358-121 (.747) record. In his time at Hampden-Sydney, Shaver turned the Tigers into a Division III powerhouse -- leading them to eight Old Dominion Athletic Conference titles, 12 seasons with 20 wins and 11 NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.
