Team preview: Northeastern
Blue Ribbon Illustrated previews the 2004-05 college basketball season, exclusively on Insider.
Northeastern has come a long way in its first three seasons under the tutelage of Ron Everhart. The Huskies have gone from a team handcuffed by the old 5/8 rule that relied on walk-ons and late additions to fill out its roster to one of the top contenders for the America East championship.
Having pulled off such a rapid rebuilding job, it's no surprise interest piqued in Everhart this summer. With a chance to take Northeastern back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1991, it's also no surprise Everhart decided to stay put.
