With the nation's best backcourt of Jameer Nelson and Delonte West now both NBA millionaires, the Hawks will have a tough act to follow in 2004-05.

The departure of Nelson, the 2004 National College Player of the Year and widely regarded as the best player in Saint Joseph's history was expected. As a senior, Nelson led the Hawks to a 27-0 regular season and 30-2 overall record, averaging 20.6 points and 5.3 assists. Nelson was the 20th pick in last spring's NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets and was quickly traded to the Orlando Magic.
