It may not rate as one of the marquee games of the year, but Saturday's matchup between second-ranked Miami and Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass., has plenty of intrigue.

The game is the first this season pitting one of the Big East's treasonous two (Miami, Virginia Tech) against one of the slighted six (Boston College, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, West Virginia). In case you just awoke from a six-month slumber, the Hurricanes and Hokies are leaving the conference after this academic year to join the ACC. Everyone else, with futures uncertain, remains in the Big East.

BC coach Tom O'Brien was sufficiently concerned about potential unruly fan reaction at Alumni Stadium that he wrote an open letter in the student newspaper this week exhorting Eagle followers to "cheer with class" on Saturday night.
