Last Saturday's games showed that QBs from the frigid Midwest can pass the ball as well as anyone in the country.
"Literally we have our players stand with their backs against the wall," Hoeppner said. "Then we say that's the position we're in. We talk about it from the hope perspective and say the worst thing we could do is lose hope and say this season is not a success."
Hoeppner has used the tactic for years, but his message carries greater weight this season. The RedHawks, who have only one loss in Mid-American Conference play, are fighting to remain in the title race. And they are not alone.
