Best QB in my lifetime

It's time for Peyton Manning's doubters to stop and realize we're watching one of the greatest offensive performances ever by a quarterback.

We've waited long enough to give Peyton Manning the love he deserves. I marvel that there are people out there who knock him because he hasn't won a Super Bowl yet. The Indianapolis Colts wouldn't sniff the playoffs if Manning weren't on this team. This is a team that would be lucky to win six games if he wasn't the quarterback. That's how much this team needs him.

Peyton Manning is on an historic pace as he leads the Colts.
I've never seen a quarterback play this well in my lifetime. What makes this run so amazing is that he's doing it while balancing so many responsibilities on that team in terms of leadership, calling plays at the line of scrimmage and having to score to offset the porous defense. Some quarterbacks can afford to have bad days and still win games; Manning doesn't have that luxury. He's clearly the best quarterback in football and that's with guys like Donovan McNabb and Daunte Culpepper out there playing lights-out.

I don't know if anyone has ever played better than he is playing right now. There's no doubt in my mind that he's going to surpass Dan Marino's streak of 48 touchdown passes, and I think he's going to put it so far out of reach that it'll never be touched. He's having a special season and it could be Super Bowl season if he continues this play throughout the playoffs.
