What's wrong with the Packers?

I did not think the Packers would lose Monday night. I thought Brett Favre would be ready to lead the Pack to a win at home. But this Green Bay team did not show much in the way of promise, and it leaves one asking, "Who are these Green Bay Packers?" The only answer I can come up with is they're pretty much a 1-4 team.

The Packers have lost three straight at Lambeau. What is going on? Can they become the ninth team in history to start 1-4 and still make the playoffs?

The Titans, meanwhile, are 2-3. Remember, they started the 2002 season 1-4 and went on to reach the AFC Championship game before losing at Oakland.

Antowain Smith

Tennessee's Antowain Smith, the former New England Patriot, told me this week he believes the Titans can make the Super Bowl. "If we can protect Steve McNair, and Chris Brown can continue to run, we have what it takes to get to the Super Bowl," Smith said.

Are there any favorites for the Super Bowl right now? I thought the Packers would be one at this point, but they have officially become a longshot. Super Bowl favorites have to include the Patriots, Eagles, Colts and Vikings. And can we really count out the New York Giants?
