Sunday marked the Bills final practice in Orchard Park for the next week. They travel to Spartanburg, SC where they'll have two joint practices with the Panthers on Tuesday and Wednesday before Friday's game in Charlotte. Team will return to practice at the ADPRO Sports Training Center next Sunday

Busy "off" day in Buffalo: Bills announce they've signed veteran CB Captain Munnerlyn, who played with - you guessed it - the Carolina Panthers in 2018. Team also announces they've signed DT Roderick Young and OL Demetrius Rhaney, and released OL Nico Siragusa. In a new development, DT Robert Thomas (knee) was also placed on IR alongside CB EJ Gaines.

Can confirm the Bills have placed CB EJ Gaines on injured reserve with a groin injury. HC Sean McDermott told us last week Gaines would be out "a few weeks" and this move makes that quite official. Levi Wallace and Kevin Johnson will continue to battle for the starting CB job opposite Tre'Davious White, with Wallace the favorite to win it. That's the second player Buffalo has placed on IR after a training camp injury, along with OT LaAdrian Waddle — ironically, they were both hurt during the same practice

Bills trade DE Harold to Eagles for OT Bates

Needing to bolster an offensive line hit by injuries, the Buffalo Bills have traded defensive end Eli Harold to the Philadelphia Eagles for offensive tackle Ryan Bates. Bates signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State.

Bills announce they've traded DE Eli Harold to the Philadelphia Eagles for OL Ryan Bates. Buffalo's injuries on the offensive line have been rampant through training camp. This adds much-needed depth

Spoke with Cole Beasley about Josh Allen's willingness to take his checkdowns these past few weeks. Beasley said a lot of the onus falls on the Bills' wide receivers to get open and provide a target for him. Part of that responsibility means not doing too much with how they run/break off their routes. He said there's a line between setting up a defensive back and confusing the quarterback. Not uncommon for a receiver to start each route in a similar fashion to avoid being predictable, but Beasley said they have to be consistent -- or their QB may start doubting/second-guessing what they're doing.

Ed Oliver said he doesn't pay attention to names, but quickly respected Quenton Nelson after watching film. The rookie was still confident: "I don't fear anyone but I respect him."

Bills rookies look strong after their first half of pro football. Cody Ford stabilized after getting beaten on his first snap, Ed Oliver held his own against one of the best IOL in the NFL, Devin Singletary showed the versatility he brings to the offense. Biggest surprise might've been Darryl Johnson -- who deflected a pass at the line of scrimmage and recorded a sack
