Pantbers coach Ron RIvera likes what Kyle Allen continues to do at quarterback with Cam Newton out, saying Allen ‘'has been very consistent.'' RIvera said he won't address the return of Newton until he has to, allowing the 2015 NFL MVP to continue to rehab. No timetable.

Curtis Samuel's 23.8 PPR fantasy points set a new personal best, not to mention improved his per-game average against the Buccaneers to 15.6. Four of Samuel's seven best single-game scores have come against this division rival.

Ideally, the Panthers would like to run time off the clock with Christian McCaffrey. But the Bucs have held him to 36 yards on 17 carries after limiting him to 37 yards in a Week 2 win in Charlotte. McCaffrey has averaged 137.5 yards against the other four opponents.

This is Kyle Allen's best game since he threw four touchdown passes against Arizona in his first start this season. He's made some clutch throws, particularly early, and now is 19-for-27 for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Wouldn't necessarily bank on the return of Cam Newton after the bye week.

The Carolina defense sets up yet another touchdown to make it 27-7 and making Jameis Winston look like a rookie. Luke Kuechly's pick was the team's third interception to go with a fumble recovery and six sacks. This unit travels well, even when it means going across the ocean.

You'd think after a first half in which the Panthers had six sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery, not to mention two touchdowns from MVP candidate Christian McCaffrey, the lead over Tampa Bay would be bigger than 17-7. It's not because the Bucs continue to make everything McCaffrey gains on the ground tough -- he has 33 yards rushing on nine carries -- and because of a special teams blunder by Ray-Ray McCloud. Never let a team hang around, even in London.

The future of 2016 first-round pick defensive tackle Vernon Butler with the Panthers has been in question, especially after the team didn't pick up his fifth-year option and was inactive the first two games. But since the shoulder injury of Pro Bowl DT-DE Kawann Short, Butler has really stepped up. He just had two consecutive strip sacks. His future is looking brighter.

Yards have come hard for Christian McCaffrey today, so the running back pulled out a few of his best moves. He juked the first Tampa Bay player out and then spun out of the grasp of the second for the touchdown. Classic McCaffrey.

You knew there would be a point when quarterback Kyle Allen would have to step up against a tough Tampa Bay rush defense. He did on that drive with five completions for 68 yards. Christian McCaffrey finished the drive that gave the Panthers a 10-0 lead with his eighth touchdown of the season, the most by a Carolina player this early since Stephen Davis and Steve Smith had seven in 2005.

The Panthers came into today first in the NFL in sacks with 20. They already have two in the first quarter. Pressure on the QB has been a big reason for the turnaround after an 0-2 start.

The Carolina D totally has dominated the Bucs on their first two series. Cornerback James Bradberry in particular has been stellar. He had a pick on the game's first play and now has two career picks versus the Bucs, the only team he has multiple interceptions against.

In case you're wondering, if Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey tops 175-plus yards from scrimmage for the fourth straight game it will match the record of four straight set by Edgerrin James from Week 8-11 in 1999. Might be a tall task since the Bucs held McCaffrey to 53 total yards in Week 2 and are geared defensively to stop the run.
