With Danielle Hunter locked up for 5 more years, how will the Vikings handle trying to extend Stefon Diggs and Anthony Barr? Rick Spielman and Rob Brzezinski have been in constant talks w/ both of their agents this summer and remain hopeful something will get done. "We want to keep all of our guys and we'll try to see if there's a way that we can do that because not only, those guys are very important to us and would love to get them locked up as well," Spielman said.

Source says Vikings DE Danielle Hunter's five year contract extension averages $14.4 million/year through 2023 with $40 million in guarantees including a $15 million signing bonus. Nice for Hunter but not exactly a game-changing contract for a 23-year-old pass rusher in a summer where guys like Clowney, Mack, Donald could reset the defensive market.

The late Dennis Green will be inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor during halftime of the Bills game on Sept. 23. Green is the lone inductee in 2018, a year after Minnesota named Randy Moss and Ahmad Rashad to the prestigious group (ROH will be up to 24 members now). Green coached 171 total games in 10 seasons with the Vikings, leading the team to four Central Division titles, the NFC Championship game twice and a 101-70-0 (.591) overall record, giving him the second-most wins in franchise history behind only Bud Grant (168).
