Lions DC Paul Pasqualoni worked in Miami with the late Tony Sparano and had many fond memories of his former boss. When he heard Sparano died earlier this year, it hurt him greatly. "To be very honest, when I had heard the news that morning, I think it was a Sunday morning, it just kind of made me really feel sick and ill all over. Knowing his wife, who is a wonderful person, and his two sons and his daughter had just gotten married. Tony's from Connecticut and I'm from Connecticut. Known him a long time. When he was the head coach at the University of New Haven, I was the head coach at Syracuse. We visited a great deal. We'd go down to Wooster Street and eat pizza. You know, we loved pizza, the same spots, New Haven, Connecticut. We had a lot in common, you know. We had a lot in common and he was a heck of a guy and I really appreciated the opportunity to go to Miami with him. It was a very, very sad day."

Testy Adam Gase on Ryan Tannehill shoulder injury: "I think there's some kind of like HIPPA law or something like that. I can't talk about it. I don't know. I don't sit there and ask him all these questions. I just know the guy couldn't go today. All right? Go ask him. I'm tired of answering this question about this guy. I got it; but you know what, I'm over it. Me and him, we know that he's not right right now, okay? The details of it, we'll keep that to us. You guys don't need to know that."

Frank Gore said he was gassed on the play Miami went to Kenyan Drake on the one-yard line. "I wasn't ready to go. He was fresh. We're both the starter. I trust him. I would do it again." RB coach Eric Studesville told Drake & Gore they both would eat. They combined for 158 rushing yards.
