Overall: Brimmer redshirted in 2000 and played in all 11 games as a redshirt freshman in '01. He started the final three games of his redshirt freshman season and has been a starter since. He started all 12 games as a junior in '03, finishing with 77 total tackles, 8.5 TFL, three sacks, six INT's and one PBU. Brimmer missed one game because of injury in 2004 but still finished with 82 tackles, 6.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, one INT, five PBU and two forced fumbles in 10 games played. Brimmer has adequate-to-good size, is powerful and aggressive versus the run, and also is an instinctive playmaker in coverage. The problem, however, is that he has marginal speed and athleticism, and he still misses too many tackles. Brimmer has the potential to develop into a versatile backup in the NFL and he might even be able to contribute as a nickel ...
