Overall: Ferri played in nine games as a true freshman in 2000 and 10 games in 2001 making his biggest contributions on special teams. He left Syracuse and enrolled at Bunker Hill Community College in 2002. Ferri re-enrolled at Syracuse in January of 2003 and he moved from running back to strong safety. He started 12 games in 2003 finishing the season with 120 tackles, one sack and two interceptions. Ferri recorded 99 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, no sacks, six forced fumbles and four interceptions. Ferri is a developmental prospect that still appears to be adjusting to moving from running back to safety at times but he has the potential to develop into a quality reserve in the NFL. Ferri is stout against the run, he is physical in coverage and he should be a very solid special teams' player. There are some character issues that will cause him to slip ...
