Overall: Coleman attended Fork Union Military Academy in 2000 before transferring to Clemson in 2001. He began his career at offensive tackle but moved to defensive tackle during the 2001 season and wound up playing in the final eight games. He saw action as a reserve in all 13 games as a sophomore in 2002 and a junior in 2003 before cracking the starting lineup as a senior. As a senior in 2004, Coleman finished with 46 total tackles, eight tackles for loss and five sacks. He also had four passes broken up.Coleman never reached his full potential at the collegiate level, despite having his best season as a first-year starter in 2004. He has excellent size, good quickness and much upside. However, Coleman has always been an underachiever that has failed to give a consistent effort on-and-off the field.
