Orlando City stormed back to beat Real Salt Lake 3-1 after going down a goal early to extend its winning streak to six games.

RSL opened the scoring against the run of play when Corey Baird beat Orlando keeper Joe Bendik with a cheeky outside-of-the-foot chip after outrunning his marker to a Damir Kreilach long ball.

Orlando's best chance of the first half came in the 24th minute when Justin Meram -- still in search of his first goal since joining Orlando this season -- blazed a half-volley just wide of the near post after finding himself all alone in the RSL penalty area following a poor clearance.

RSL had two chances to double its lead before half-time, but Baird's low line drive clattered off the far post before Bendik got down quickly to save a close-range shot from a charging Joao Plata.

The visitors opened the second half the way it ended the first: peppering Bendik's goal. Albert Rusinak hit the post with a well-struck shot from 20 yards away and then forced the Orlando keeper into another fine save on his curling effort from the left side of the box.

Orlando's pressure going forward finally told on the hour mark when Dom Dwyer rose highest to head home a Sacha Kljestan cross to make it 1-1.

Three minutes later the hosts took the lead from a corner kick, Lamine Sane heading home from Yoshimar Yotun's inswinging cross.

And Yotun would seal the three points for Jason Kreis' team shortly after setting up Sane, smashing in a rebound after Nick Rimando saved from Dwyer and RSL unsuccessfully appealing for offside on the goal.

Orlando has now scored 17 goals during its win streak to solidify its third-place spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
