Sunderland have loaned midfielder Charis Mavrias to Bundesliga 2 side Fortuna Dusseldorf for the rest of the season.
Mavrias, 21, joined the Black Cats from Panathinaikos in 2013, but has struggled to break into the fist team since then, making just seven appearances.

"First and foremost I am very happy with the change," Mavrias told Fortuna's official website. "Fortuna Dusseldorf is a large and long-established club.
"I only look forward and will concentrate fully on the task at Fortuna to help as soon as possible and produce good performances to help the team."
Sunderland, meanwhile, are awaiting an answer from Lorient's Lamine Kone after having an offer accepted for the defender.
