Franck Kessie spent last season on loan at Cesena in Serie B.

Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie insists that he would never turn down a move to Chelsea, but that he dreams of playing for Manchester United.

Kessie, 20, has been linked with both clubs, as well as Arsenal, PSG and Roma, with Chelsea reportedly bidding €30 million for him in January.

The Ivory Coast international midfielder was asked specifically about the interest of Roma at a meet and greet with fans at the Atalanta Store on Wednesday but revealed more about his future hopes.

Atalanta maintained their push for a European spot by defeating relegation-threatened Crotone 1-0 in Serie A on Saturday.

It was more difficult than Atalanta perhaps expected, but Andrea Conti scored to propel Atalanta into fourth spot, three points above Inter Milan, who Bologna on Sunday, and four above Lazio, who visit struggling Empoli later.

Chile midfielder Carlos Carmona leaves Atalanta to join Atlanta United

Carlos Carmona has played in Italy for the past nine years.

Defensive midfielder Carlos Carmona has left Serie A club Atalanta to join MLS expansion team Atlanta United.

Atlanta announced the signing on Monday and used targeted allocation money in the deal.

Carmona, 29, played for Chile at the past two World Cups and has earned 47 caps. He comes to MLS after nine seasons in Italy, playing for Reggina and Atalanta.
