Cesena cruised to a 4-1 win at fellow Serie B side Catania on Thursday to complete the third round of the Coppa Italia.

A Loris Bacchetti own goal gave the visitors the lead on 23 minutes, but Juan Ramos was able to equalise just before half-time.

The second half, though, belonged to Cesena as Marco Djuric gave them the lead in the 61st minute and soon after Camillo Ciano scored twice in two minutes to complete the rout.

The fourth round will take place in December, with the winners advancing...

Torino put in a five-star display against Cesena on Sunday evening to finish the season in ninth place in Serie A and pile on the agony for their already-relegated opponents.

Goals from Josef Martinez, Maxi Lopez and Marco Benassi saw the hosts race into a 3-0 lead after just 31 minutes.

The 5-0 defeat was Cesena's 22nd...

The win, their seventh of the campaign, came a week too late for Cagliari.

Dries Mertens' second goal of the game kept Napoli's Champions League hopes alive.

Napoli kept their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season alive, although they were made to work hard for a 3-2 win over Cesena.

Without their coach Rafael Benitez, who was sitting out a one-game ban, the Azzurri fell behind to a Gregoire Defrel goal after 15 minutes.

Dries Mertens and Manolo Gabbiadini replied with two goals in as many minutes turning the game around, but Defrel struck again just before half-time.

Another Mertens strike in the 57th minute was enough to earn Napoli...
