Levante members offered free season tickets after promotion to La Liga

Quico Catalan has hailed the fans for their role in Levante's success.

Levante president Quico Catalan has said the club will give free season tickets to loyal members when they return to La Liga next season.

A 1-0 win at home to Oviedo on Saturday, their 23rd of the campaign, saw them gain immediate promotion back to the top flight after finishing at the foot of the top division 12 months ago.

Catalan said the fans had been crucial and told Cadena Cope: "All our members that went to watch our team in 18 games will get a free season ticket for next season.

Giuseppe Rossi regrets choosing Italy over United States - agent

The agent of Fiorentina forward Giuseppe Rossi has admitted that the player may have made a mistake by choosing to represent Italy over the United States.

Born in New Jersey, but with Italian parents, Rossi opted to play for the Squadra Azzurra having made a name for himself at Parma and Villarreal. Levante captain Juanfran has announced his retirement following his side's relegation from the Primera Division.
