Malaga launched a stunning comeback to claim a 2-2 draw away to Espanyol on Friday night.

A goal in either half from Gerard Moreno appeared to have earned the Catalans their first points of the campaign after their incredible 6-4 defeat to Sevilla in their LaLiga opener, but Malaga halved the deficit in the 67th minute with a brave header from on-loan Real Madrid defender Diego Llorente.

Juande Ramos' men piled on late pressure and were rewarded as Brazilian substitute Charles applied a calm finish...

Depor action vs Eibar 160819
Match-winner Lucas Perez attempts a volley in Depor's 2-1 win versus Eibar.

Lucas Perez's 87th-minute penalty sealed a 2-1 comeback victory for Deportivo La Coruna against Eibar at the Estadio Riazor on Friday night.

Eibar took the lead 10 minutes into the second half with an Ivan Ramis header from a corner but the Galicians drew level with a volley on the stretch from Pedro Mosquera.

A point would perhaps have been the right result but Perez earned Depor all three in their opening La Liga game when he won a late spot kick and converted it himself.

The visitors looked...

Former Arsenal midfielder Fran Merida secured a point for promoted Osasuna in a 1-1 draw against Malaga at La Rosaleda.

The first 45 minutes of the Spanish top-flight season were a slow-burner to say the least, with neither side creating an opening until the 38th minute.

That was when...

Former Leicester City striker Emile Heskey says the Foxes' title win is good for the world, not just the city of Leicester.

Leicester City's incredible Premier League title success from 2015-16 has the rest of Europe wondering if something similar can happen. Here, ESPN FC picks out one club from Europe's top leagues who could follow in the Foxes' footsteps.

SASSUOLO (Italy)

Eusebio Di Francesco has impressed at the club.

Name-checked by Claudio Ranieri himself -- "Sassuolo could be the Leicester of Italy" -- if the Neroverdi won the Scudetto, it would surpass the exploits of Hellas Verona in 1985 and even those of the Foxes last season.

Guillermo Ochoa
Guillermo Ochoa had a fine 2014 World Cup.

Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa is hoping he can get his career back on track after joining Granada on loan from Malaga.

Ochoa, 31, joined Malaga from French side Ajaccio after impressing at the 2014 World Cup, but failed to make a league appearance in his first season in Spain and featured only 11 times in La Liga.

The goalkeeper sealed a switch to Granada earlier this month and said he always expected his move to Malaga could be tough.

"It was a gamble that wasn't as successful as expected but...
