FA's inherent problems on show as Aluko, Clarke, Glenn all testify

Speaking to a UK parliamentary committee, former England footballer Eni Aluko says that FA chief exec Martin Glenn asked her to write 'a statement saying the FA were not institutionally racist' in order to receive the 2nd part of her financial settlement
Kick It Out CEO Roisin Wood backed the FA's decision to open a third review into Eni Aluko's treatment whilst playing for England.

LONDON -- If the Football Association's ability to stay calm and inspire confidence when under pressure is any indication of its ability to run the nation's biggest sport, it is clearly failing.

In a small select committee room at the House of Commons on Wednesday, four of its key executives were questioned by Members of Parliament over the Mark Sampson saga and the result wasn't pretty.

He was appearing before the committee with three other senior FA officials to answer questions about the governing body's handling of issues involving...

Nathan Redmond says Gareth Southgate helped him move on from his penalty miss.

Nathan Redmond has revealed a summer pep talk from England boss Gareth Southgate helped him overcome his penalty heartache.

The Southampton forward missed the crucial spot kick in England Under-21s' Euro 2017 semifinal shootout defeat to Germany in June.

It was his last touch for the Young Lions as he became too old to represent Aidy Boothroyd's side and he left Tychy in tears.

England went out 4-3 on penalties following a 2-2 draw after extra time but senior boss Southgate, who missed his own crucial...

FA's child abuse review team struggling with amount of evidence

The FA are not expecting to receive Sheldon's report until Easter at the earliest.

The legal team heading the Football Association's £1 million review into child sexual abuse are receiving counselling to help them deal with the stories they are hearing from victims, PA Sport has reported.

Set up to uncover how the FA dealt with allegations of abuse between 1970 and 2005, the Clive Sheldon QC-led investigation started work in January.

Since then, Sheldon and his colleagues have interviewed 15 former players who survived abuse and 35 non-survivors, mainly former or current...

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino: I would like to coach England one day

Mauricio Pochettino was happy to put Pep Guardiola's 'Harry Kane team' jibe behind him.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has said he would like to manage England one day.

Pochettino, interviewed for a book charting Tottenham's title challenge last season and serialised in the Daily Mail, said he would "relish" the chance.

He has coached in England since joining Southampton in 2013, establishing himself as one of the game's leading managers.

And he said: "If I were to be an international manager one day, I'd relish the opportunity to coach the England national team.

"I've...
