German FA agrees to help Kosovan FA train coaches and administrators

The Kosovo FA will get help from its German counterpart.

PRISTINA, Kosovo -- The German Football Association (DFB) has agreed to assist Kosovo in its first steps as a new organisation.

The DFB and the Kosovan federation signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday.

Germany will assist Kosovo in training administration staff and coaches and strengthening work with the younger generation.

Kosovo became a UEFA member in May, joined FIFA a week later and was fast-tracked into 2018 World Cup qualifying.

Ilkay Gundogan has struggled with injuries over the past year.

Ilkay Gundogan has returned to the Germany squad after nearly a year out through injury for the World Cup qualifiers against Czech Republic and Northern Ireland.
