Chat with John Carlos
Welcome to SportsNation! On Tuesday, former Olympic sprinter John Carlos stops by to chat as part of ESPN.com's tribute to Black History Month.
Carlos won the bronze medal at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City behind fellow American Tommie Smith and Australian Peter Norman. During the medal award ceremony, Carlos and Smith shocked the world by raising their black-gloved fists and wearing black socks without shoes on the podium to represent black poverty in America.
On July 16, 2008, John Carlos and Tommie Smith accepted the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at the 2008 ESPY Awards.
Send your questions now and join Carlos Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET!
