We got a very clear picture of what the Raw title matches will look like at SummerSlam on Monday, with Brock Lesnar set to defend his Universal championship against Roman Reigns or Bobby Lashley and Ronda Rousey getting her shot against Alexa Bliss.
In surprising news dropping on a summer Sunday afternoon, the WWE has reinstated Hulk Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame. Rumors have been swirling of a Hogan return and this seemingly is a first official step to take. According to WWE, "This second chance follows Hogan's numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake."
Extreme Rules recaps and ratings: Two title changes, Lashley wins
Two title changed hands at Extreme Rules Sunday night. We also saw Braun Strowman throw Kevin Owens off a cage, Bobby Lashley shocked Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler took their Iron Man Intercontinental title match into overtime.
SAnitY and The New Day closed out the Extreme Rules kickoff show with a fun, spot-heavy match. A double powerbomb/double stomp from New Day was the highlight of the match, with SAnitY pulling off a few big spots of their own - including the combo suspension elbow that Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe used to put Kofi Kingston through a table to win the match.
In the opening match of the WWE Extreme Rules Kickoff show, Sin Cara and Andrade ‘Cien' Almas went full bore in a short match that saw a number of crazy spots including a hurricanrana on the ring apron. A Zelina Vega distraction, double knees and a hammerlock DDT earned Almas the victory.

In the opening match of Monday Night Raw, Dolph Ziggler picked up a shock win over Seth Rollins to win the WWE Intercontinental championship. This makes Ziggler a six-time IC champ — tied for third-most of all-time with Jeff Jarrett and Rob Van Dam, behind only Chris Jericho and The Miz.
The match might be remembered for Mustafa Ali's "Spanish Fly" on Buddy Murphy off the announce table to the floor, but the lasting impact will be the transition from Ali/Murphy to Hideo Itami as the probable next challenger to Cedric Alexander's title.
